A new AI app turns a visit to the Thomas Mann Archive of the ETH Library into an interactive experience.

To mark the 150th anniversary of Thomas Mann's birth, the Thomas Mann Archive at the ETH Library is launching a new online platform. It offers digital access to the writer's letters for the first time.

Immerse yourself in New Life Soundmagazine and Frauezitig - two cult magazines among the many new additions to E-Periodica that capture the pulse of electropop, protest and emancipation from the 70s to the 90s.

The deadline for submission has now been extended by two weeks to 15 April!

New ways of accessing content by places, people and topics, as well as advanced full-text recognition, make it easier to access digitised print material.

In NAHIMA, the database for scientific collections at ETH Zurich, 3D models can now be displayed. There are also new developments in 3D viewers for cultural history collections.

From now on, you can easily explore the holdings of the ETH Zurich University Archives, the Thomas Mann Archives and the Max Frisch Archives online. The ‘Virtual Reading Rooms’ simplify archive research and offer expanded access options.

As part of a competition organised by the ETH Library, students and staff at ETH are being given the opportunity to share their insights and best practices for the effective use of generative AI tools (genAI). Im Jahr 2014 übernahm die ETH-Bibliothek das gesamte Fotoarchiv der Stiftung Industriekultur. Nun veröffentlicht das Bildarchiv der ETH-Bibliothek den ersten Teilbestand des Industriehistorikers Dr. Hans-Peter Bärtschi aus den Jahren 1965–2005.
