In consultation with the community of heirs and their representative, Professor Frido Mann, the Thomas Mann Archives and external page S. Fischer Verlag are publishing Thomas Mann’s original documents online via the Archivdatenbank, before the copyright runs out. The online resources now contain documents relating to Mann’s novel “Lotte in Weimar” (1939) and his play “Fiorenza” (1906), which were given to the Thomas Mann Archives.

Indexing and publication

An overview of the currently available documents can be found on the website of the Thomas Mann Archives. Over the course of the coming years, more digitised resources from the personal papers of Thomas Mann will be uploaded alongside the metadata for all of the personal papers, which is already available online.
