The Empa archives are now held at the ETH Zurich University Archives
The University Archives of ETH Zurich took over the catalogued documents of the Empa Archives in 2024. Researchers and interested parties can now research these online and view them in the University Archives.
No agreement yet with Wiley: ETH Library offers transitional solutions for non-contractual situation
The national negotiations of swissuniversities with the scientific publisher Wiley (including ‘Advanced Materials’ and ‘Angewandte Chemie’) have not yet led to an agreement. Together with the other affected universities, the ETH Library is preparing for a situation in which there is no contract from January 2025.

Our doors are open to everyone. Come see our exhibits, take one of our public tours, or plan a private tour of our archives or collections for groups of five or more. Researchers and science lovers are invited to attend our conferences and podium discussions.
Courses and workshops
We hold courses and workshops that are open to the public and cover topics such as information research, reference management and scientific writing as well as research data management and open access.

Blogs and social media
The ETH Library regularly updates different blogs with content from our collections, archives and holdings: from highlights from the archive to the latest results of crowdsourcing initiatives all the way to multimedia stories posted on the storytelling platform Explora.
On social media, we share our knowledge on a variety of different platforms – from Facebook to Instagram to YouTube – in order to promote dialogue both within and outside of ETH Zurich.
