From alchemy to dream interpretation – the bookshelf of a psychoanalyst

You can now virtually browse through the bookshelf of psychologist and Jungian Carl Alfred Meier. Discover valuable works on the topics of psychology, natural science, medicine and more.

The psychoanalyst C.A. Meier had a comprehensive private collection of specialist literature with valuable works from research fields including psychology, natural science, medicine, philosophy and parascience. We are currently in the process of digitizing these works on the e-rara platform, where you can now view them as a external pageprivate collection.

Born in Schaffhausen, Carl Alfred Meier (1905–1995) studied medicine in Paris and Vienna. In 1948, he became the first president of what was then the newly established C.G. Jung Institute Zurich. To this day, the institute serves as an educational and research centre for analytical psychology and psychotherapy.

external pagee-rara is the platform for digitized prints from Swiss institutions dating from the 15th to 20th century.
