Gold and Bronze for e-rara and e-manuscripta
The swiss cooperation platforms receive Best of Swiss Web Award 2023
On 10 May, the e-rara and e-manuscripta platforms, designed by the digital agency external pageEyekon, received the following awards at the Best of Swiss Web Award 23:
Category Public Value: Gold
Category Productivity: Gold
Category Innovation: Bronze
Category Master of Swiss Web 2023: Bronze
The external pagee-rara platform now comprises almost 101,925 titles (as of 30. April 2023); external pagee-manuscripta has over 157,013 (as of 30. April 2023).
The central goal of both cooperation platforms is to digitise historical works and make them accessible for scholars and teachers as well as for the public. Free access on the one hand and the opportunity to contribute on the other make e-rara and e-manuscripta prime examples of open data and citizen science projects.
