e-rara now contains 100,000 titles
e-rara has broken the hundred-thousand barrier while also reaching the milestone of 40,000 full-text titles.
Around 13 years after its launch, the external pagee-rara platform has reached 100,000 digitized publications. 26 libraries throughout Switzerland contribute to this ever-growing collection. In total, users can view and freely download 21 189 725 digitized pages (valid as of 28 March 2023).
Virtually at the same time as reaching the milestone of 100,000 recorded titles, we also hit the 40,000 mark in terms of our full-text processing of publications. This content is not only available to you as high-resolution images, but you can also conduct full-text searches within these titles.
You can conveniently view and use the high-quality digital copies contained in e-rara. A wide variety of interfaces such as the external pageInternational Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) offers researchers, lecturers and the public comprehensive access to the database.
external pagee-rara is the platform for digitised prints from Swiss institutions dating from the 15th to 20th century. All content can be downloaded as PDF or JPEG and features the Public Domain Mark.
