Introduction in Geofacets – How to plan your geological field trips

external page Geofacets is a database and research tool for geoscientific maps that are often concealed in reviewed publications. Via the web-based search tool, maps can be searched for easily using geographic or scientific keywords. The maps are available for download and are accompanied by metadata, abstracts and links that stem from the source article. Over 70% of the maps are georeferenced, which enables them to be retrieved and processed with geographic information systems (GIS).
