Earth Science Library – permanently closed from 01 May 2024

The Earth Sciences Library will close permanently on 30 April 2024. Following approval by ETH Zurich, the Centre for Origin and Prevalence of Life will move into the premises.

This page contains everything you need to know about the library closure and associated services. We will be happy to answer your questions in person in the nearby Green Library and the ETH Main Library in the ETH main building.

First of all, we are still here for you. Our physical location may be closing, but our comprehensive services will remain available:

  • Until the end of April, the Earth Sciences Library will be open to all users as before.
  • Our consultation services and courses are unaffected.
  • Our media will move to our other locations. Selected specialist media in the field of earth sciences will be relocated to the nearby Green Library.
  • We will continue to work closely with the Earth Sciences Department to provide optimal support for your research and studies in the future.

Where to find the media of the Earth Sciences Library in future
