Information on the opening hours and services of the ETH Library from 7 June 2021

The ETH Library returns to its normal opening hours at all locations, since all ETH buildings are open again.

Locations and opening hours

From Monday, 7 June 2021, the following opening hours apply:

  • InfoCenter in the ETH main building: Mon–Fri 08.00–22.00, Sat and Sun 09.00–17.00
  • Circulation Desk in the ETH main building: Mon–Fri 08.00–19.00, Sat 09.00–17.00 (Mon–Fri after 19.00 and on Sundays, loans and returns are also possible at the InfoCenter)
  • Architecture and Civil Engineering Library (Hönggerberg): Mon–Fri 08.00–21.00, Sat and Sun closed
  • Earth Science Library: Mon–Fri 09.00–17.00, Sat and Sun closed
  • GESS Library: Mon–Fri 09.00–17.00, Sat and Sun closed
  • Green Library: Mon–Fri 09.00–20.00, Sat and Sun closed (open during the learning session on selected Saturdays in July and August).
  • Hönggerberg Depot Library: Mon–Fri 09.00–17.00, Sat and Sun closed

Further information

  • At all locations short searches and consultations can also take place in compliance with distance and hygiene regulations.
  • Reading lounges with national and international (specialist) journals and daily newspapers are available.
  • Photocopiers and scanners can be used in compliance with the distancing rules.

Face masks mandatory

Face masks must be worn in all ETH buildings. The social distancing and hygiene measures of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) remain in place. Please bear this in mind when visiting the ETH Library.

You can also continue to make use of our digital resources and contact options. Please do not visit the library if you belong to an at-risk group or are feeling unwell.
