Get ready to discover the latest tools and expert tips that will optimise your study routine and boost your productivity. Whether you are struggling with your thesis or looking to optimise your time management skills – we’ve got you covered. You’ll also have the chance to get advice from our experts, connect with your peers and share your ideas with us: what kind of support you want in your Master’s? Get ready to laugh, think and be amazed by our impro theatre performance by Anundpfirsich. Plus, there will be a bar serving free drinks and snacks to keep you fuelled throughout the event. • We present an overview of the services ETH Zurich offers around managing your Master’s and writing your thesis.
• Specific topics that we cover are: tips on scientific writing, how to upgrade your skills in scientific English, tools for searching for information, literature review, reference management tools (Zotero, Endnote, Mendeley), knowledge management (e.g. Notion, Obsidian), plagiarism prevention, data management, learning and work strategies, self-organisation and time management, mental wellbeing in academia, and much more.
• Get an update on the newest developments in AI and how you can use it.
• You will have the chance to talk to our experts and get answers to your questions.
• You will get information about the many courses and workshops we offer to make your life easier.
At the end of the event, you will be able to:
• determine the next steps that will help you to organise your Master’s better.
• identify the skills and tools that will allow you to approach your studies and your Master’s thesis in a more structured way.
• select workshops or other courses that will help you to acquire these new skills.

This event is aimed at Master’s students of all levels – whether you have just arrived at ETH Zurich, are in the middle of your studies or just about to start your Master’s thesis or your doctorate. Bachelor’s and doctoral students, lecturers and supervisors are also welcome to join and find out about the support they can get from the ETH Library and other services.
