Geofacets
external pageGeofacets is a database and search tool, which makes geoscientific maps that might be hidden in peer-reviewed publications easy recoverable. Maps are easily discoverable on the web-based search tool via geographic or scientific keywords and are downloadable. Downloaded maps are accompanied by meta data, article abstracts and links that can be found in the original source articles.
Note
Currently, 70% of the map content is georeferenced. Such maps can be immediately utilized in geographic information systems (GIS) software for further analysis.

Please note that Geofacets will only be available until 31 December 2023. After that date, Elsevier will stop operating the database and you will no longer have access to it.

Courses are held by appointment. Topics that will be covered are various search strategies and features using specific examples.
