After PubMed, Embase is the most important biomedical literature database. In addition to the articles indexed by MEDLINE, it includes over 6 million additional records as well as Cochrane reviews and conference proceedings. Of particular interest are the Emtree thesaurus and the drug indexing with the chemical names, trade names of drugs and medical devices, names of drug manufacturers and the CAS numbers.

    3-D atlas of human anatomy in German and 6 other languages, organized according to organ systems. Virtual corpses can be dissected in prone or supine position. Pictures can be saved, commented and shared. With quizzes to check your knowledge.
  • Anatomy & Function
    Hundreds of interactive presentations represent basic human body functions in addition to anatomy. Short animations explain physiological processes and common diseases. The 3-D models can be rotated, zoomed and dissected. English language only.
  • Physiology Animations
    3-D animations describe human biology in a visual way. Besides body functions and basic physiology, frequent diseases are explained. The films are in English with subtitles in German or 6 other languages.
  • Muscle Premium
