Aim

At the end of the workshop, you are able to

  • understand data protection and privacy issues when you are dealing with strictly confidential and confidential data in research projects.
  • have the necessary knowledge to conduct research respecting both legislation as well as information security requirements.
  • identify if your research data classifies as strictly confidential or confidential.
  • apply “best practices” for secure handling of strictly confidential and confidential data for research.
  • be aware of how to use secure scientific Data and IT infrastructures for Strictly Confidential and Confidential Data for research at ETH.
  • write a data management plan for strictly confidential and confidential data for research.
