Writing a convincing research proposal
Crafting convincing research proposals is a decisive advantage when applying for grants and fellowships – nationally and internationally.
In our workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of writing research proposals. You will also exchange ideas with fellow researchers and develop the first building blocks for your own applications.
Content
Develop effective skills for writing successful research proposals:
- Discover how to structure your research project logically and present it convincingly.
- Benefit from tips that support you throughout the proposal writing process – from defining your research question to submission (including the use of AI tools).
- Gain an overview of different funding organizations and learn about support services at ETH Zurich that can assist you throughout the proposal writing process.
In this workshop, you will acquire the knowledge and techniques needed to craft convincing research proposals – for example, for the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) or other national, European and international funding institutions. Exercises and peer learning activities will support you in further developing your drafts.
