Shinkenchiku Data: a digital architecture archive

With Shinkenchiku Data the ETH LIbrary now offers a unique collection of over 22,500 projects spanning nearly a century of architectural history. 

external page Shinkenchiku Data is a digital platform that provides comprehensive access to projects from the renowned Japanese architecture magazines Shinkenchiku, Jutakutokushu, and a+u. The platform is specifically designed to support academic teaching, research, and project work in the fields of architecture and urban planning and is expanding continously. With the integrated translation function (Japanese to English), its contents are made more accessible to an international audience.

How to register

To access Shinkenchiku Data, you must be within the ETH network and external page register for a personal, non-transferable account.  
 
Follow the steps in the Download User Guide (PDF, 2 MB) and use your ETHZ-email address. The following domains are permitted: @arch.ethz.ch, @ethz.ch, and @student.ethz.ch.
