Swiss Open Academic Data Day (SOAD)

On 10 September 2025, researchers, data scientists and practitioners from all over Switzerland will meet to explore the potential and challenges of Open Academic Data.

Swiss Open Academic Data (SOAD) has the ambition to build an active community around open academic data in Switzerland. Users of  all experience levels are invited to network with each other at this event. Join us to exchange ideas and share best practices on platforms such as OpenAlex, OpenAIRE, ORCID, and Crossref. Whether you are an expert or just getting started, you can look forward to engaging discussions, hands-on workshops and exciting insights.

The programme features lightning talks and workshops with speakers from ETH Zurich, EPFL, the University of Zurich, TU Wien, SNF, Lib4RI, Crossref, and other institutions. They will present tools, applied methods, and innovative use cases. The event promotes knowledge-sharing between research and practice, enabling the exchange of experiences and the discussion of issues in the open data landscape.
