Forgot your password? Simply reset it
In the first edition of our series ‘swisscovery Tips & Tricks’, you will learn how to quickly and securely restore access to your library account.
You want to borrow a book in a hurry, but unfortunately you don't have the password to hand? No problem – the password can easily be reset. All you need is access to your e-mail account.
You can either reset your password via ETH-Bibliothek@swisscovery or directly via external page eduid.ch/reset-password (go directly to step 4).
1. In external page ETH Library @ swisscovery click on 'Sign in' and then on 'Switch edu-ID'.
2. You will be taken to the login page. Enter your email address and click 'Continue'.
3. The password input field will appear. Click the 'Forgot your password?' Link below the input field.
4. A new window will open. Re-enter your e-mail address in the 'E-mail' field and click 'Continue'.
5. Once these steps have been completed, you will receive an e-mail with a link or a code to set a new password. Delivery may take a few minutes. Also check your spam folder if you do not receive the email.
