Doctoral students can gain 2 ECTS points.
Research data management (RDM) is essential for your research. Our next Summer School will provide you with all the tools you need.
Structured RDM allows you to organise your research data along their entire life cycle from generation to maintenance and correctly share them with third parties.
ETH Zurich and funding agencies such as the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) and Horizon Europe require funding recipients to implement basic RDM concepts throughout the duration of their project and submit a data management plan. The Summer School will help you comply with these requirements and equips you with the skills to implement the FAIR Data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) in your work.
The following topics will be discussed during the ETH Research Data Management Summer School sessions:
- A broad introduction to research data management and an overview of open science
- Daily data management during a research project
- Reproducible data management and analysis
- Handling confidential and strictly confidential research data
- Open access publishing
- Sharing and publication of research data
- Long-term preservation of research data
