For early birds - the GESS library is extending its open library service
Whether you're a lark or a night owl, you can organise your working hours even more flexibly with us. The GESS Library's popular Open Library programme is being extended by two hours from 07.00 to 09.00.
Do you prefer to study early in the morning? Then join us in the GESS Library. From now on, our premises will not only be open from 17.00 to 20.30, but also from 07.00 to 09.00 outside the regular opening hours for members of ETH Zurich.
This is how Open Library works
During the Open Library hours (07.00-09.00 and 17.00-20.30) no library staff is present. You get access with your ETH card. If you have any questions, please call the InfoCenter in the main building on +41 44 632 21 35.
During open library hours, you can use all services that do not require library staff:
- Reading, study and group workstations
- Self-checkout of open access resources
- Printer, scanner & photocopier
But please note:
- The cleaning staff also start early. Noise emissions may therefore sometimes occur between 07.00 and 09.00.
- As before, pre-ordered media can only be collected during working hours between 09.00 and 17.00
- Please leave the library by 20.30 at the latest, as this is when the building closes. The lights will be switched off automatically on both floors.
