The ETH Library is opening a new chapter in its series of themed tables with the exploration of the universe, exploring the known and the unknown. Following the successful pilot project on biodiversity in September 2023, we will be presenting fresh and exciting topics every four months on the historical reading table from the ETH Baukultur collection. In this way, we encourage our users to rediscover the library's diverse collections. This project will surprise you with new topics for at least two years.

The focus of the theme tables is on presenting the extensive holdings of the ETH Library, which currently comprise around 9.8 million physical units. Both established fields of knowledge and the unexpected are presented.

Our users have the opportunity to borrow the displayed books directly on site.

Another highlight that has proved to be a crowd-puller is the jigsaw puzzle on the theme table. Work is already underway on the third 2000-piece puzzle in just two months. The puzzle is not only an entertaining distraction, but also a popular challenge among students.

The ETH Library invites all inquisitive minds to be inspired by the themed tables - discover the known and the unknown!
