Cancelled: Reading Franz Hohler
The event with Franz Hohler has unfortunately been cancelled.
Enjoy the captivating stage presence of the great Swiss poet in the unique atmosphere of the Green Library! Franz Hohler reads from “Die Rückeroberung”: an egregious story in which nature reclaims the city. This “What if?” is neither idyllic nor peaceful. People are helpless in the face of the horrors of wild animals and overgrowing plants.
Published 40 years ago, the story has lost none of its relevance. It shows how contradictory and broken humans' relationship to nature has always been. For: How much nature can humans tolerate? How much space can and should nature occupy in our everyday lives? Franz Hohler discusses these questions in the subsequent talk with Professor Dr Susanne E. Ulbrich from the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zurich.
