Language study for architecture fans

How do you like the idea of gaining exciting, new insights into the world of architecture and urban design while boosting your language skills during a casual conversation? Our Language & Architecture Coffee Breaks may be just the thing for you!

Here’s how it works

To prepare for a session, you independently research information about buildings, architects or styles you are interested in (using lectures, videos or podcasts, for example). You jot down new terms and phrases in your target language and write a brief presentation about your topic of choice. During our Coffee Breaks, you give the presentation you have prepared, followed by a brief group discussion. This activates your vocabulary and enables you to improve your target language during a casual conversation with others who share your interests. Our tutors moderate the sessions and offer feedback.

Does the thought of giving you a presentation make you a bit nervous? You’re very welcome to just join for the discussion.

Registration opens in September: external page click here to sign up! Our Language & Architecture Coffee Breaks will run from 26 September until 16 December 2022. They are aimed at language learners at level B1–C2.
