Explore ETH Zurich: These tours await you in 2021

In 2021, ETH Zurich will continue to provide the interested public with insights into the fascinating past and present of a university steeped in tradition.

ETH Zurich’s public tours are a unique component of the services we offer to our visitors and will continue in the new year. If nothing else, they add something unique to the range of cultural events that make Zurich special. In 2020, it was unfortunately only possible for public tours to take place on a very limited basis due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, a new, wide-ranging programme will be available to you in 2021.

What you can expect

Science fans, along with arts and culture enthusiasts and students, will find just what they are looking for: On our public tours, you can learn more about historical events and famous personalities such as Albert Einstein, Max Frisch or Thomas Mann and also explore research opportunities at ETH Zurich. These tours will introduce you to comprehensive and valuable scientific holdings, images, objects and other works from areas including the arts, culture and architecture. You will also be given insights into current research at ETH and our two campuses in Zurich and Hönggerberg.

COVID-19: Important information on implementation

At present, it is not yet known when the public tours will be able to take place on-site again in 2021, but we are working on a concept for virtual implementation in order to (continue to) offer this option to you.

On the public tours website, you will find all relevant information about the tours you can take part in and the form they can take.

The public tours are offered by the collections and archives of ETH Zurich, the ETH Library, the Services, Real Estate and Operations departments and various institutes of ETH Zurich. Don’t miss out on the fascinating insights these tours have to offer!

Good to know: An overview of the 2021 public tours can also be found in the programme flyer, which has been redesigned for 2021.
