Research Collection: Statistics August 2019
August was a month of comebacks for the most popular works: the most downloaded article as well as the dataset and the doctoral thesis had already been on this list. This is not surprising in the case of the doctoral thesis, since it is Albert Einstein's work, a true classic of scientific literature.
The Altmetric Score is an indicator for the public reception of scientific publications. Over the past five months, it has always been an article on climate change which achieved the highest Altmetric Score among the new publications in the Research Collection. This is proof of how much attention the topic currently receives.
The number of downloads from Germany exceeded the 100,000 mark for the first time. Since June, the summer holidays have been noticeable on the Research Collection: there were significantly less downloads. The open access share of publications was stable, however.
