Borrowing physical media
To borrow media, please log in with your SWITCH edu-ID to the external pageETH Library @ swisscovery platform. Once the media you have ordered is ready for collection, you will receive a notification via email and can collect it at your previously selected location. In exceptional cases, you may only be able to use the media on-site.
Courier service: Have your media delivered from anywhere in Switzerland to an ETH Zurich library or by post to your home (more information about fees).
Borrowing tools
Members of ETH Zurich can borrow tools, such as a battery-powered vacuum cleaner, a laser range finder or a battery-powered hammer drill.
All you need is your ETH card and a registration for ETH Library @ swisscovery. You can order the tools directly in ETH Library @ swisscovery.

Tools can be borrowed free of charge. The maximum loan period is seven days. The tools must be picked up in person at the InfoCenter (Zentrum) or in the Architecture and Civil Engineering Library (Hönggerberg) and returned there as well.
