Wolfgang Pauli and modern physics

Wolfgang Pauli (1900–1958) did much to shape the development of modern atomic physics. Pauli was Professor of Theoretical Physics at ETH Zurich from 1928 until his death in 1958.

In 1945 he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics for his discovery of the exclusion principle. In scientific disputes, Pauli was regarded as such an unerring critic and supreme authority that he became known as the "conscience of physics".

The virtual exhibition "Wolfgang Pauli and Modern Physics" shows Pauli as a person, presents a selection of his scientific achievements and finally looks at the physicist's reception.
