SENPro

The aim of the project

Building on this previous experience, the prototype node will provide a registry of tools, FAIR data and services that are available to researchers during the entire data life cycle and rely, wherever possible, on open and non-proprietary formats and protocols. This is being carried out in alignment with other activities and actors on the national level, e.g., SERI, ORD Strategy Council. 

Description of the project

The Swiss EOSC Node Prototype (SENPro) is a national initiative to design and test a federated framework that connects Swiss research infrastructures with the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). Launched in September 2025, SENPro brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of leading institutions.

Time frame

1 Sep 2025 – 30 Sep 2026 (13 months) First deployment of the prototype is planned for June 2026.
