Aim of the project

The theatre documentation on Max Frisch will be recorded in the archive database and digitized in high resolution. 

Description of the project

The writer Max Frisch is one of the most important international dramaturge of the 20th century. To this day plays such as "Andorra" or "Biedermann und die Brandstifter" are performed all over the world. The theatre documentation in the Max Frisch Archive includes programmes, reviews, photos, posters and directing books for numerous productions. The complete digitalisation and indexing of these documents lays the foundation for systematic research into the history of international performance.

Synergies and context

The project continues the digitisation project “MFA_online”, which was conducted between 2014 and 2018. The workflow developed in cooperation with the DigiCenter at the ETH Library as part of this project can be applied in this case.
